Driving in the Cayman Islands

By Andy’s Rent-A-Car

Planning a trip to the Cayman Islands can be a lot of fun when you think about all that awaits you once you arrive. But that doesn’t mean some of it won’t feel a bit like work. Just remember it will be worth it as soon as you touch down.

One thing you need to remember though is to go with a Cayman Islands car rental. It’s really the only way to make it wherever you want to go around the islands as easy as possible. That being said, this still leaves the issue of driving. No doubt you’re a very good driver, but remember that they drive on the left side of the road. For Americans and many others, this will be a real change.

Some specialty rental cars in Grand Cayman actually come with the steering wheel on the other side of the vehicle to accommodate drivers who are used to the right side of the road. However, this will definitely cost you more.

Fortunately, most people are able to get used to this new way of driving if they keep reminding themselves and go nice and slow.

From swimming with manta rays to tanning on the beach to visiting historical sites, you’ll have your arms full while you’re there, which is why a Grand Cayman Island car rentalfrom Andy’s Rent-A-Car makes so much sense.
